Wilkes County Office Complex repurposing

Bishop, a lifelong county resident, urged the board to stay the course on the 80%-complete $32 million office complex, saying any repurpose would cost significant money in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other changes. He asked that any repurpose decision come with a well-advertised public meeting, and criticized the board for turning down $4 million in free federal money for the aging airport terminal.
